VSYS Options for IF610 Analog Addressable Control Panel Description
The 610VE panel's VSYS option adds emergency voice evacuation capabilities to the IdentiFlex 610 (IF610) analog addressable Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP). The VSYS options are integrated in the same housing as the IF610, delivering dependable performance in an attractive cabinet design. VSYS systems provide prerecorded digital alert messages, all-call, and individual control-by-circuit (microphone). The emergency voice evacuation capability of the IF610 is used to provide prerecorded natural-voice messages (VEX) and emergency paging to facilitate orderly evacuation of protected areas. Voice evacuation systems are frequently required by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for areas of assembly such as auditoriums, gymnasiums, places of worship, and large meeting rooms. IF610/VSYS systems are suited to meet these needs and the requirements of NFPA 101 for New and Existing Assembly Occupancies.

Systems are available in 25, 50, 100, and 200-watt configurations. The IF610 with VSYS option can be configured for one to eight speaker circuits at up to 25 watts per circuit. Each amplifier offers an independent power supply and battery charger with a digital message repeater (VEX).
System Operation
The VSYS option is a flexible voice solution that can be sized to meet the job requirements by selecting the style and number of speaker circuits and the size of the amplifier. The system is also available with prerecorded digital message, and includes emergency paging capability. The VSYS includes a three-minute message restart, which occurs automatically after a three-minute depression of the microphone key when the digital messaging option is used. The VSYS Emergency Voice Evacuation System may also be ordered with multiple speaker-circuit configurations. Circuit-splitter modules allow the amplifier power to be divided among multiple zones for efficient use and controlled zone signaling. Splitter modules are equipped with circuit-select switches that allow for manual selection of voice evacuation zones for emergency paging. An LED is provided for annunciation of each zone's status. Enclosures can house up to 200 watts of amplification, a paging microphone, digital voice messaging, and one or two circuit-splitter modules for up to eight Class B (Style Y) or up to four Class A (Style Z) circuits. Circuits are rated at 25 watts each. VSYS provides an integral battery charger for its dedicated batteries. Supervised remote microphones are supported by the system. Speaker circuits are controlled by individual toggle switches. A circuit identification label is provided for field-customized circuit labeling.

Separate sources of 120 VAC input power and 24 VDC battery backup power are used for the Fire Alarm Control Unit and the Voice Evacuation system. AC power source requirements are determined by adding the amperage requirements of the two systems together. Independent battery backup calculations must be completed for the Fire Alarm Control Unit and the Voice Evacuation system.
